About Us

Established in 1994, Indian Knives & Tools Co. is one of the leading manufacturers of industrial blades from Mumbai. We make knives for offset printers, packaging, binding, corrugating, woodworking, metal shearing, plastic and textile industries. We also manufacture and repair V-blocks and various types of punches for sheet metal fabricators, and produce hardened, tempered and ground plates for hand-feed and automatic die punching machines.

Our supply is mostly to leading machine manufacturers, end users and government sectors throughout India. Since 2005, our team has undertaken study tours of knife manufacturing units in Europe, Japan and China. Based on these studies, our heat-treatment procedures were refined and our production facilities upgraded to meet international standards. Continuous work study and in-house research allow us to produce quality knives time and again.

Our Manufacturing Process

From Raw Steel to Precision Blades

At Indian Knives & Tools Co., we follow a strict manufacturing process to ensure every blade delivers exceptional strength, accuracy and durability.

  1. D2 tool steel round bars01

    Material Selection

We use high-grade alloy steels such as D2, D3, M2, T1, CRU-WEAR and Tungsten Carbide for optimal wear resistance and hardness.

  2. CNC turning of a metal component02

    CNC Machining & Grinding

Advanced CNC equipment machines each blade to precise tolerances, followed by high-precision grinding for sharp, consistent edges.

  3. Molten steel in a furnace03

    Heat Treatment

Blades are heat treated in modern furnaces and tempered to ensure consistent performance under demanding conditions.

  4. Calibration and inspection workstation04

    Quality Control

Every product is inspected and tested before dispatch to meet our internal quality benchmarks and your exact specifications.
